Confirmation of booking/deposit

A 25% deposit amount is required to secure your booking and date. By paying this you agree to all the terms and conditions stated in this document. Your booking is not confirmed until your deposit has been paid. If you fail to make payment within 7 days of correspondence, your date may be released. Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred.

Full Payment

Full Payment of the event is required 1 week before the event. Failure to make contact or payment after this reserves us the right to cancel the event with no refund. All rates are inclusive of GST.

Cancellations & Changes

Cancellations made more than 14 days before the proposal date will receive a full refund minus any costs already incurred (e.g. deposits for flowers, neon signs, etc.).
Cancellations made within 14 days of the proposal date are generally non-refundable. However, we will always try to be as flexible and understanding as possible.

Weather Policy

All proposals are planned with the best available weather forecast at the time of booking. However, Melbourne weather can be unpredictable, especially during the winter months.

We strongly recommend having a backup plan in case of rain or strong wind.
If light rain occurs on the day, we will still attempt to set up (using covered areas where possible), but we cannot guarantee the setup will remain completely dry.
In the case of heavy rain, strong wind, or unsafe conditions, we may need to cancel or significantly modify the setup for safety reasons. In this situation, we will offer to:
- Reschedule the proposal (subject to availability), or
- Provide a full refund of the styling fee (excluding any non-refundable deposits paid to suppliers such as florists or photographers).

Setup & Timing

Our team requires approximately 45–90 minutes to set up (depending on the package).
The client is responsible for ensuring the chosen location is accessible and permitted for private setups on the day.
We reserve the right to adjust the exact setup location on the day due to weather, crowds, or safety concerns.

Photography, Flowers & Add-ons

All additional services (photographers, content creators, musicians, etc.) are arranged as a coordination service. We are not liable for the performance or quality of third-party suppliers, although we only work with trusted professionals.
We will always aim to get the florals/style of your choice. At times supplies can be restrictive so in the very rare case that we can’t get the exact product or florals of choice we will pick one that is similar on your behalf.

Venues

When booking a venue on your behalf, the client takes all responsibility to any damages or issues that occur with their booking. This may incur additional costs or fees.

Liability

Ever After Proposals is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury caused by weather conditions, third-party actions, or unforeseen circumstances.
Clients are responsible for their own personal belongings and safety during the proposal.

Force Majeure

We are not responsible for any failure to provide services due to events beyond our reasonable control (including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, illness, or transport issues).

Use of Photographs and Footage

By booking a proposal with Ever After Proposals, you consent to us using photographs and video footage taken during the proposal for marketing and promotional purposes, including on our website and social media.
